Our History
April 2024
Deepwell Water Development. In April 2024, a deepwell water source was successfully drilled to provide a sustainable and reliable water system for the farm and resort. This milestone was crucial in ensuring a self-sufficient water supply for irrigation, construction, and future resort operations—reflecting the project’s eco-friendly and self-reliant philosophy.
May 2024
Construction of the First 3-Storey Bamboo Treehouse (Narra Tree). The first major resort structure broke ground in May 2024: a three-storey bamboo treehouse built around a sturdy Narra tree. This unique design symbolized the resort’s core vision—harmonizing architecture with nature. The treehouse combines traditional Filipino bamboo craftsmanship with modern eco-lodge comfort, offering panoramic views of the forest and nearby lake.
July 2024
Second Bamboo Treehouse (Puas Tree). Encouraged by the success of the first structure, construction began in July 2024 for the second bamboo treehouse, elegantly integrated into a Puas tree. This second treehouse followed the same eco-conscious principles but featured design variations to enhance guest comfort and privacy, expanding accommodation capacity for visiting families and small groups.
April 2024
Construction of the Swimming Pool Complex. Parallel to the treehouse developments, construction of the swimming pool began in April 2024. Designed to complement the natural terrain, the pool features a main adult pool, a kiddie pool, and a spa area, all surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking scenic views of the lake and surrounding forest. The pool area would later become one of the resort’s central attractions for relaxation and recreation.
April 2025
Soft Opening and Guest Bookings. By April 2025, Señor Magallanes Farm and Resort reached a major milestone as it opened its doors to guests and bookings. This soft opening marked the culmination of nearly two years of planning, planting, and building—a transformation from a simple farmland into a tranquil eco-resort destination where visitors could reconnect with nature and experience farm living in comfort.
October 2025
Construction of the Treeraza Camping and Viewing Deck. Continuing its expansion, the resort embarked on a new project in October 2025—the Treeraza, a series of camping and viewing decks built amid the forest canopy. This latest addition provides guests with elevated panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscapes, as well as a serene space for camping, stargazing, and intimate gatherings. The Treeraza symbolizes Señor Magallanes’ ongoing commitment to blending eco-tourism, sustainability, and adventure.
June 2023
Beginning of Land Development. The journey of Señor Magallanes Farm and Resort began in June 2023 with the clearing and preparation of the land in Barangay Cansuso, Cavinti, Laguna. This initial phase focused on removing wild vegetation, shaping the terrain, and preparing the soil for future planting and construction. The goal was to transform the raw landscape into a sustainable, nature-inspired destination while preserving its natural charm and ecosystem balance.
August 2023
Planting of Fruit-Bearing Trees. By August 2023, the farm officially came to life with the planting of various fruit-bearing trees including Jackfruit, Mango, Rambutan, and Grafted Lanzones. This marked the start of Señor Magallanes’ long-term vision of creating a thriving agro-tourism environment—where guests can enjoy not just relaxation but also the abundance of nature and farm-to-table freshness. Each tree was carefully selected and planted according to soil compatibility and microclimate conditions to ensure sustainable growth.
